Discover the stunning ancient churches and enjoy the local cuisine in one of the many family run restaurants. Just south of Tavira you will find the stunning Parque Natural da Ria Formosa. Take one of the many boat tours on offer and either indulge in some bird watching or head straight to the stunning sandy beaches of the Ilha da Tavira. The historic towns of Vila Real de Santo António and Olhão are also nearby. Head to the famous fish market in Olhão to check out the daily catch.
