Tourist Tax in Portimão applies to all guests aged 13 or older staying in tourist accommodations* and local lodging establishments** within the municipality of Portimão, regardless of nationality or residence. The tax is charged per person, per night, for a maximum of seven nights.

HOW MUCH IS THE TAX?

€1 per person per night (up to seven consecutive nights per person), from November 1 to March 31 – low season.

€2 per person per night (up to seven consecutive nights per person), from April 1 to October 31 – high season.

NOTE: A security deposit of €200 is required before check-in – we hold the deposit on your credit card (on arrival or one day before) and it will be released up to 7 days after check-out. Please ensure you're aware of this refundable deposit before your arrival. The last thing we want is misunderstandings!

The platform does not hold the security deposit, so we are allowed to collect it directly from the guest. This information is displayed when confirming the booking. Therefore, all bookings must pay the refundable deposit either before or on the day of check-in.
