GROUND LEVEL
The spacious open lounge overlooks the swimming pool, with a fully applianced adjoining kitchen offering a generous supply of utensils and storage space. The villa design thoughtfully incorporates a ground floor bedroom suite for those who prefer to avoid stairs.
FIRST FLOOR
The 2 remaining bedrooms are situated on the first floor, both with their own private ensuite bathrooms. A private balcony hugs the each of the bedrooms offering the most spectacular views reaching out towards the Ria Formosa and the Atlantic Ocean beyond.
OUTSIDE SPACE
Villa Lucie has spacious outside terraces where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful ambience, soak up the rays, or enjoy an evening supper. From the front entrance, a convenient and shady parking space welcomes 2 cars. At the rear of the villa, you will be thrilled with the refreshing pool and its selection of sunbeds, offering the perfect haven for sun worshippers. Meanwhile, those who enjoy home catering can tend to the traditional BBQ and create a feast to enjoy, perfect for poolside picnics!
PARKING & ACCCESS
This is a private accommodation and guests will be able to access all advertised areas and use all advertised facilities. All areas of the villa, including front/back gardens, terraces/patio and private pool are accessible to guests. The villa has two levels and has stairs within - a ground floor bedroom is offered for guest convenience, ideally suited to guests with limited mobility, who prefer to avoid stairs. Please note, we do not recommend the villa for children under two years old - the pool is open, ungated and easily accessible from the lounge. Thus extreme care is recommended - and children of any age should not be left unsupervised at any time whilst using the pool.
ARRIVING AT THE PROPERTY:
It is our intention to meet you in person at the property on your arrival to deliver the keys and welcome you. Some of our properties have key safety boxes and you will be informed of the code in advance, in which case you may be asked to check in alone and we will make a later courtesy visit at a mutually convenient time.
CHECK-IN TIMES:
Please note check-in times are between 16.00h and 19.00h and we will try to be flexible with arrival times outside of these hours. For early arrivals, it may be possible to offer a “bag drop” facility. For later arrivals, there may be the key safety box facility. If not, and we are required to meet you in person for a late-night check in, the following fees will apply:

PRIVACY:
When booking private accommodation, we like to give you privacy during your stay. However, Smartavillas fully trained personnel are available 24 hours per day should you need assistance of any kind. We are only a phone call away. As this property has a private pool, please remember that access will be required for maintenance/ upkeep.
HOLIDAY GUIDE:
Smartavillas has a fantastic holiday guide packed with lots of information including points of local interest, activities, and restaurant recommendations. For your convenience, we will send an electronic copy before you arrive and also provide a QR code in the villa.
ADDITIONAL CLEANING/SHEET CHANGE
As properties are rented on a self-catering arrangement, a daily maid and interim property cleaning service/linen change are not included in the price, but if required, can be provided for an additional charge. Further details available on request.
WE KINDLY REQUEST:
The house will be well presented for your arrival, and departure cleaning is included in the rental value. However, we do ask for a respectful co-operation with the removal of rubbish, and that BBQ facilities are cleaned of food and debris before you leave. Charges will be incurred if it is deemed that the property is left in an unacceptable condition.
DEPARTURE DAY:
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end! - and on departure day, check out time is requested at 10.00h. We will contact you towards the end of your stay to confirm this. We may be able to offer a later departure time only if there are no guests arriving on the same day. Unfortunately, however, this is unlikely in the summer months due to high volumes of guests.
General: Located 35km from Faro airport, Villa Lucie lies in the cobblestoned fishing village of Santa Luzia. Within walking distance of a selection of waterfront restaurants, cafés and small supermarkets, the villa is centrally located and 4km from the nearest larger town of Tavira, known as the Venice of the Algarve. Despite the age of tourism, the village has retained much of its charm and deservedly earns its title the “octopus Capital of the Algarve” with many of the restaurants offering the local octopus catch of the day, amongst other delicious fish dishes. Flanked by two fabulous beaches and a varied selection of cafes, bars and restaurants, Santa Luzia charms Portuguese and foreign visitors alike.
Cuisine: Along the waterfront and dotted about the narrow streets, various restaurants and local eateries provide for all tastes and pockets, with some locally renowned establishments always busy – so be sure to book ahead!
Beaches: There are two fantastic beaches to enjoy in Santa Luzia…the first, Terra Estreita, is reached via a short ferry crossing; the second is the beach of Barill reached by a small train which delights children and adults alike. For each, the prize is the welcome of dune backed golden sands, lapped by the crystal blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean; both a touch of paradise waiting to be explored and enjoyed.
Nature: At your doorstep, the Ria Formosa Natural Park is a nature lovers playground offering a myriad of marine and bird life to observe and become acquainted with.
The villa is located in Santa Luzia, near Tavira. The use of a car is not essential when renting this property.
• Train - Nearest stop to the property is Tavira Main Station - 3.5kms
• Bus - Buses run across the entire Algarve coastline and the nearest bus stop is along the seafront, around 3 minutes walk
• Taxi – There is no rank or pick up point in the immediate vicinity. However, Smartavillas offer taxi services, and the contact details will be displayed inside your rental property

TOURIST TAXES & PASSPORT INFORMATION:
Some municipalities within the Eastern Algarve region have now introduced a Tourist Tax, where charges of around 1€ per person per night are applied to a maximum of 7 nights. This charge is levied by the Government, not Smartavillas. You will be informed in advance if you are required to pay this, which will be required in cash on arrival, with a receipt issued for payment confirmation. It is also a lawful requirement for all non-Portuguese nationals to provide us with passport details for data entry into the national immigration records.
