Since January 1, 2016, the Balearic Government requires a Balearic Tourist Tax, which is paid at check-in. Prices vary depending on the length of stay and the season (Low or High). This tax applies to travelers over 16 years old. The rate in high season (from April to October inclusive) is: €2.20 per day per adult (16+) for the first 8 days; €1.10 per day per adult for the remaining days. Royal Decree 933/2021, of October 26, which establishes the obligations of documentary registration and information of natural or legal persons engaged in accommodation and motor vehicle rental activities.

The holders of accommodation and rental activities included within the scope of this regulation will collect the data of the users in order to proceed with their registration and the necessary communication to comply with the legal obligations developed under this decree.


Entry forms for the use of accommodation services must be signed by all persons over fourteen years of age using them, according to the system and model established. In the case of persons under fourteen years of age, their data will be provided by the adult accompanying them.


Guests will receive a link from the host to register all members staying in the holiday rental properties. This process is very simple and quick, and failure to comply with this legal requirement may result in the termination of the prior contract, making it impossible for guests to access the reserved property.
