Tejeda has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a Biosphere Reserve, has been named Top Rural European and is one of the prettiest towns in Spain. Strolling through its emblematic streets and squares is an unforgettable experience, as well as enjoying the Canarian gastronomy in the different restaurants and cafes in the area. Museums, the Island Center of Medicinal Plants, handicrafts and the famous almond sweets of the area, make for a memorable experience. Hiking enthusiasts will find trails leading directly from the house to the Caldera de Tejeda, as well as to the rest of the island.
